Call Types

Admin

CAD CODE: Admin

Description: Used for staff when they are “in-service”, but performing admin duties where they want to limit interruptions.

Priority: 4

Basic Reroute: For priority 2 and above details, IF no other recourses are available.

Recommended Reports: None

Alarms

There are different types of alarms, for our operational we break these into two types. ‘Fire’ and ‘All Other’

Fire Alarms

CAD CODE: Alarm, Fire

Description: This is used for any kind of Fire Alarm, including, but not limited to: Water Flow Alarms, Manual Activated Fire Alarms, and Automated Fire Alarms.

Priority: 2 (Manual Fire Alarms), 3 (Water Flow and Automated)

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above, with IC 1 or above), with 2 additional Units, and advise Duty Officer

Response Protocols: Respond to scene, defer to Hotel Security/Personnel whenever possible. Evacuate if necessary.

Recommended Reports: None

All Other Alarms

CAD CODE: Alarm, All Other

Description: Used for all non-fire alarms, these include bugler alarms in Art and Dealer’s Room.

Priority: 2 (Manually Activated Alarm), 3 (Automated activation / trip)

Dispatch Protocol: Priority 2 – 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above) with 1 backup patrol unit. Priority 3 – 1 Patrol (PTRL 1 or above), can have backup at Dispatcher’s discretion based on information.

Response Protocol: Respond to scene and check perimeter for unsecured access to room/location.

IF no access or sign of issue found, clear without further follow-up. IF access or activity is found, request another unit (if not already there) and request a Lead (if not already on site). Complete Reports IF damage, or loss of property

Area Checks

CAD CODE: Area Check

Description: Area checks are used to check a give area for activity also can be a directed area check for a specific activity, person, or subject.

Priority: 2 (looking for subject related to an in-progress detail) or 3 (all other)

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Volunteer or above (PTRL 1 or above), give specific instructions on what they are looking for.

Response Protocol: Check area for ______

Recommended Reports: None (in most cases)

Assists

There are 4 types of “assists” these are all where we are backing or support another related department or organization. An Example of this would be assisting Hotel Security with escorting someone off the grounds; another is where we are assisting the Norwescon Business Department with a money escort (SEE APPU manual for details)

Assist to Fire, Police, or other Public Safety Organization

CAD CODE: Assist, FD/PD

Description: We use this call type for anytime that our assistant is requested from a Public Safety Organization such as Police or the Fire Department.

Priority: X, 1, 2, or 3; Priority is set by the type of call they will be assisting on.

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Lead, additional resources based on call type and needs of the scene. Remember that if there is 12 Firefighter, then we do not nasally need a full response from us.

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, assist as necessary.

Recommended Reports: None

Assist to Hotel

CAD CODE: Assist, Hotel

Description: This call type is used when assisting the hotel a detail, this could be as simple as removing signage from a wall, or backing hotel on escorting someone off the grounds.

Priority: X, 1, 2, or 3; Priority is set by the type of call they will be assisting on.

Dispatch Protocol: Varies based on type of assist

Response Protocol: Varies based on type of call, whenever possible try to have a Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above) when dealing with the hotel.

Recommended Reports: None (in most cases)

Assist to other Norwescon Department

CAD CODE: Assist, Other Dept

Description: This is used when assisting another department that is not covered under another call types, examples would be escorting money (APPU) or something as simple as our Tech Section helping with an IT issue.

Priority: X, 1, 2, or 3; Priority is set by the type of call they will be assisting on.

Dispatch Protocol: Varies based on type of assist, see Asset Protection Details for Money Runs

Response Protocol: Varies based on type of assist, see Asset Protection Details for Money Runs

Recommended Reports: None (in most cases)

All Other Assist

CAD CODE: Assist, All Other

Description: This is when the above types of assists to not apply; this includes helping a ADA person locate a room, escorting someone back to their room, etc.

Priority: X, 1, 2, or 3; Priority is set by the type of call they will be assisting on.

Dispatch Protocol: Varies based on type of assist, see Personal Protection Details for info on that type of assist.

Response Protocol: Varies based on type of assist, see Personal Protection Details for info on that type of assist

Recommended Reports: None (in most cases)

Assaults

We break Assault calls in to 3 levels based on when they accrued.

Assault In-Progress

CAD CODE: Assault, InProg

Description: This is when a person is being assaulted of any kind.

Priority: X (with weapons or ‘getting ass kicked’), 1 (Physical Only)

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Supervisor (PTRL 4 or above), Officer Pet or Jim (if on-duty), and at least one backing unit (PTRL 2 or above, next highest available); reroute recourse if necessary; advise Hotel Security and advise Duty Officer (if not already responding). Upon arrival ask if “they want the air.” If requested by lead or above to call 911 see Calling 911.

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, observe and report. Assist Law Enforcement/Hotel Security within individual level of training. Complete necessary reports. DO NOT PUT YOUR SELF OR OTHERS AT RISK!

Recommended Reports: Incident Report, Individual Witness Statements from Security Personnel

Assault Just Occurred

CAD CODE: Assault, Just

Description: This covers any assault that occurred in the last 15 min or less (give or take a hair)

Priority: 2

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above) and one additional Patrol Unit, Officer Pet or Jim (if on-duty), and advise Duty Officer

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, take basic description of subject, make reasonable effort to location subject (area checks) without making contact with subject; complete necessary reports. DO NOT PUT YOUR SELF OR OTHERS AT RISK!

Recommended Reports: Incident Report Form

Assault Report

CAD CODE: Assault, Report

Description: This call type is used for anytime an assault is reported to use that is not in progress or just occurred.

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above)

Response Protocol: Respond to Reporting Party, take report (recommended to bring them to the Security Office, but not required), take reasonable steps to follow-up and/or location subject (without making contact with subject).

Recommended Reports: Incident Report Form

Bomb Threat or Report of Suspicious Package

CAD CODE: Bomb

Description: This can be if it is either called in OR report of a suspicious package.

Priority: 1

Dispatch Protocol: IF a treat is called into called into you, keep claim, try to get as much information writing down as much detail as possible; advise Duty Officer (not over the radio ). IF we get a report of a suspicious package, dispatch 1 Patrol Supervisor (PTRL 4 or above) to investigate. [NOTE upon arrival units will be turning off their radios and cell phones, and communicating via landlines].

Response Protocol: If threat is phoned in, differ to hotel and their protocols, assist as possible. IF report of suspicious package, Respond to scene, just before arrival call dispatch and put yourself “arrived” and then turn off your radio AND cell phone [use house phone to communicate with dispatch], investigate package (without touching) and attempt to locate owner, if you are unable to locate owner, then differ to hotel’s protocols.

Break

CAD CODE: Break

Description: Used for units when they are logged out on a break, could be rest room, meal, or other.

Priority: 4

Dispatch Protocol: Log it, and this unit is re-routable for Priority X, 1, and some 2 details

Response Protocol: N/A

Recommended Reports: None

Court Order Violations

CAD CODE: Court Order V

Description: We use this for both a report of a Court Order Violation and for a Court Order Violation in progress. Examples would be a violation of a restraining order, or a no contact order. It is common for this to be a joint response with hotel and/or the Police.

Priority: 2 (in progress) or 3 (report of)

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Lead (PRTL 3 or above), if in progress add a backup unit.

Patrol Protocol: Respond to scene, take information, offer a police response, and take a report; it is common to bring the Reporting Party and/or Victim back to the office to complete the report.

Recommended Reports: Incident Report (in some cases)

Crowd Control

CAD CODE: Crowd Control

Description: Crowd Control is a common type of detail, which is used anytime that anytime we need to control the flow of people through an area.

Priority: 3

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 1 or above)

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, provide control until issue resolved and/or you are relived, and can request additional recourse for large scale issues.

Recommended Reports: none (in most cases).

Damage to Hotel Space

CAD CODE: Damage to Hotel

Description: This code is used to log any reported or found damage to the hotel space.

Priority: 4

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 1 or above).

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, asses and document (if found) damage to hotel.

Recommended Report: Detailed CAD entry.

Disturbances (including Noise Complaints)

There is a wide range of disturbances; they range from a barking dog, loud music, screams (of passion) and a man interrupting a panel preaching the Good Word. For the purpose of statistics we break these into two call types, Noise Complaints and All Other

Noise Related Disturbances

CAD CODE: Disturbance, Noise

Description: This is one of the most common calls that we get at Norweson, we respond to this in two manors, those in Convention Space or Involving Convention Member(s), and those that are not. Example of these would be a loud

Party or someone screaming in a hallway.

Priority: 3

Dispatch Protocol: Regardless of Convention Related or not, dispatch 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above), with one backup unit (PTRL 1 or above).

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, IF it is Convention related take primary role, if it is not defer to Hotel Security.

Recommended Reports: none (in most cases).

All other Disturbances

COD CODE: Disturbance, All Other

Description: Examples of this would be a disorderly person or activity, a car racing up and down the road, or someone yelling or throwing stuff off from a balcony.

Priority: 2 or 3 depending on threat to life/well being

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above), with 1 backup Patrol (PTRL 1 or above)

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, evaluate, take action within in your scope of training and authorization, complete report (if necessary).

Recommended Reports: none (in most cases).

Drowning

CAD CODE: Drowning

Description: This is used when there is a report drowning (in the pool, lake, or bathtub)

Priority: 1

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above AND IC 2 or above), with 2 backup Patrol (PTRL 1 or above).

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, “Reach, Throw, Don’t Go” (unless trained to do so), provide care within your level of training, provide limit access to scene, ensure access for Fire/EMS, and defer to Hotel if reasonable. NOTE: This is likely to become a large scale response requiring a complex response, and needing higher level if Incident Command and possibly a Unified Command.

Drug Activity

We break this into two categories, being in progress and a report (after the fact).

In Progress Drug Activity

CAD CODE: Drug Activity, InProg

Description: This is drug activity of any kind that is in progress

Priority: 2 (dealing or in open space), 3 (use or in closed room)

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above), with backup (PTRL 1 or above)

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, if in open space and minor in nature ask person(s) to stop and move on, if in open space and major in nature do not contact request for Supervisor (PTRL 4 or above). NOTE: IF in private room (other then a Reregistered Party Room), we have NO authority of any kind and should NOT make contact of any kind. In these cases differ to Hotel Security, and provide backup to them only.

NOTE: If in a Reregistered Party Room, differ to Duty Officer for instructions.

Recommended Reports: None (in most cases)

Report of Drug Activity

CAD CODE: Drug Activity, Report

Description: This is used when the activity was more then 30 minutes old (give or take).

Priority: 3 (less then an hour old), 4 (older then)

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above)

Response Protocol: Respond to Reporting Party, Complete Basic Report (detailed CAD entry)

Recommended Report: Detailed CAD entry

Fight

We break these into two categories physical and verbal.

Physical Fights

CAD CODE: Fight, Physical

Description: This is used anytime that anytime that they are touching one and another (at initial report/call)

Priority: X

Dispatch Protocol: Officer Pet and/or Jim (if on duty), 1 Patrol Supervisor (PTRL 4 or above), with Patrol Staff Backup (PTRL 2 or above), advise Duty Officer. Upon arrival ask if “they want the air.”

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, observe and report. Assist Law Enforcement/Hotel Security within individual level of training. Complete necessary reports. DO NOT PUT YOUR SELF OR OTHERS AT RISK!

Recommended Reports: Incident Report, Individual Witness Statements from Security Personnel.

Verbal Fights

CAD CODE: Fight, Verbal

Description: This is used anytime that anytime that they are NOT touching one and another (at initial report/call)

Priority: 1

Dispatch Protocol: Officer Pet and/or Jim (if on duty), 1 Patrol Supervisor (PTRL 4 or above), with Patrol Staff Backup (PTRL 2 or above), advise Duty Officer.

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, if not physical and if trained to do so, attempt to diffuse OTHERWISE observe and report. Assist Law Enforcement/Hotel Security within individual level of training. Complete necessary reports. DO NOT PUT YOUR SELF OR OTHERS AT RISK!

Recommended Reports: Incident Report (in most cases)

Fire

CAD CODE: Fire

Description: This is used for any report of open flames, smoke, or other source of fire.

Priority: 1

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above) to investigate, if confirmed and evacuating and/or major event, then add Patrol Supervisor (PTRL 4 or above, with IC 3 or above), along with 3 additional backup units for crowd control, advise the Duty Officer (if not already responding)

Response Protocol: IF not confirmed, investigate and confirm, if minor (smoke machine, candle, cooking etc.) deal within hotel rules, if confirmed and major in nature request a Supervisor and act within level of training.

Recommended Reports: Incident Report (in some cases)

Follow-up

CAD CODE: Follow-up

Description: The follow-up is used whenever a resource is following up on another detail or report. This includes any follow-up interviews for investigations and/or reports after the fact.

Priority: 4

Dispatch Protocol: None This is a “self-generated” or “On view” detail by the field unit.

Response Protocol: N/A

Recommended Report: Varies based on type of follow-ups

Report of Hazard

CAD CODE: Hazard, Report

Description: Anytime that there is a Reported Hazard we use this call type. Examples of this would be a light that is about to fall from the ceiling or a bio hazard spill (puck, blood, etc.), and also be a hazardous material issue/spill.

Priority: 2 (Life/Safety Issue), 3 (Potential for Life/Safety Issue)

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 1 or above)

Response Protocol: Upon arrival evaluate situation, if necessary limit access to area and/or call hotel for cleanup/repair, detailed information logged in CAD.

Recommended Report: A Detailed CAD entry, or Incident Report (in some cases).

Broadcast Info

CAD CODE: Broadcast

Description: This is used to log any information that is broadcast over the radio, without needing a response of any kind. This could be passing of administrative information to field units, asking them to keep their eyes open for “xyz” or the like.

Priority: n/a

Dispatch Protocol: State of air and log in CAD

Response Protocol: n/a

Recommended Report: Detailed CAD entry

Locate Person (not Missing/Lost)

CAD CODE: Locate Person

Description: This used when trying to locate a person, examples would be a missing chair, we have also use this when we area asked to locate a convention member for any reason (common reasons are: death in the family, other catastrophic event).

Priority: 4

Dispatch Protocol: Assign a Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above) to attempt to locate, pull information from Reg Database, contact hotel operator and see if they are a registered gust.

Response Protocol: Investigate possible location of person, use other patrol recourses when applicable.

Recommended Report: Detailed CAD entry, with steps taken to locate and if found.

Lost/Found Item(s)

CAD CODE: Lost/Found Item

Description: This is when any item is entered into lost and found.

Priority: 4

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 1 or above), detailed CAD entry (item description, location found, found by, and location stored at [Cloak Room or Security Office]

Response Protocol: Respond to location, get information (location found, by whom), take custody of item, return to storage location (High Value to Security Office, Otherwise to Cloak Room), completed necessary paperwork.

Recommended Report: Detailed CAD entry with Lost and Found Mask

Medical

CAD CODE: Medical

Description: Medical Calls range from basic First Aid to calls for EMS. These need to be handled with care.

Priority: X (CPR in progress, or like), 1 (Medical), or 2 (basic first aid, band-aid)

Dispatch Protocol: Dispatch highest FA rated person on duty, along with 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above, with IC 1 or above). IF 911 is (or has been) called, add 2 more backup units.

Response Protocol: Primary FA person should care for victim within his/her level standard of care; Patrol Lead should take over as IC, and facility crowd control, providing direction and access for EMS (if necessary. NOTE: If BLS care is required, differ to EMS ASAP.

Recommend Reports: Detailed CAD entry

Meetings

CAD CODE: Meeting

Description: This I used to log a unit out at a meeting, this could be but not limited to the might night meeting, a party meeting, or just about any type…

Priority: 4

Dispatch Protocol: n/a, self-generated/on-view

Response Protocol: n/a

Missing Person (Adult)

CAD CODE: Missing Person, A

Description: We use this anytime we have a missing adult (or parent).

Priority: 3

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above), with 2 backup units (to take Youth); get and broadcast basic Description (see below ). NOTE: we do not respond to missing adults unless, we have their underage kid looking for them, OR there is diminish capacity with threat of life or well being. Response Protocol: Respond to scene, keep youth with 2 units (if possible, one that is same sex as youth), Patrol Lead then organizes a systematic search of the hotel based on the information untainted from the Reporting Party and/or youth.

Recommended Report: Detailed CAD entry

missing Person (Youth)

CAD CODE: Missing Person, Y

Description: We use this anytime we have a missing youth/minor.

Priority: 2

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Supervisor (PTRL 4 or above, with IC 2 or above), with 1 backup units (to take Reporting Party and/or Parent); Advise Hotel Security over their radio, “we are responding to a report of a missing child at ________, I will give you an update with description as soon as I get one”; get and broadcast Basic Description and info (see below ) on ALL Radio Channels (In order Security Main, to Hotel Security, ALL CALL, Security Tac(s) (if used), TECH, and any other channels in use) .

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, keep Reporting Party with us at all times, get Description and info to dispatch ASAP, Patrol Supervisor then organizes a systematic search of the hotel based on the information untainted from the Reporting Party.

Recommended Report: Detailed CAD entry (if found), Incident Report Form (if not found or abduction).

Officer in Distress (Help the Officer)

CAD CODE: Officer, Help!

Description: This is used anytime that a officer is in distress, fight, shoot, down, or any other kind of direct threat. Officer includes; our Security Staff, Hotel Security, Police, or ANY kind of Security and/or Law Enforcement Officer.

Priority: X

Dispatch Protocol: Broadcast “All units, Officer Needs Help [or officer down] at ____________, units to respond”, then wait for responding unit. IF not already responding, dispatch Officer Pet and Jim (if on-duty), our Duty Officer, and all PTRL 4 and above that are on the radio.

Response Protocol: Respond with all due haste, Assist Officer/Staff Person within your training, if injury notify Department Manager and his chain of command.

Recommended Reports: Incident Report, Officer Wittiness Statements, etc (in most cases)

Parking Issues

CAD CODE: Parking

Description: This is used when we do any kind of Parking Enforcement, Parking Assistants, or Directing Traffic in the Parking Lot.

Priority: 4

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 1 or above).

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, deal with issue within our level of training, if unable to solve issue, request a Patrol Lead to assist (PTRL 3 or above).

Recommended Report: Varies depending on type of incident.

Plane Crash

CAD CODE: Plane Crash

Description: This is used any time that there is a Plane Crash.

Priority: X

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above), 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 1 or above)

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, assign the scene, assist within level of training, request additional recourses as necessary.

Rape

We break this into two call types, Rape In-Progress and Rape Report.

Rape in Progress

CAD CODE: Rape, InProg

Description: This is used when we get a report of a rape in-progress

Priority: X

Dispatch Protocol: Officer Pet or Jim (if on duty), 1 Patrol Supervisor (PTRL 4 or above), with a 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above), and 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above), Advise Hotel Security and our Duty Officer

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, if not physical and if trained to do so, attempt to diffuse OTHERWISE observe and report. Assist Law Enforcement/Hotel Security within individual level of training. Complete necessary reports. DO NOT PUT YOUR SELF OR OTHERS AT RISK!

Recommended Report: Incident Report Form (in most cases).

Report of a Rape

CAD CODE: Rape, Report

Description: This is used when we get a report of a rape not in-progress

Priority: 2

Dispatch Protocol: Officer Pet or Jim (if on duty), 1 Patrol Supervisor (PTRL 4 or above), 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above), Advise Hotel Security and our Duty Officer

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, assist Law Enforcement/Hotel Security within individual level of training. Complete necessary reports.

Recommended Report: Incident Report Form (in most cases).

Robbery

Robbery is broken into 3 categories, they are Robbery In-Progress, Robbery Just Occurred, and A Robbery Report. These also include shoplifting.

In-Progress Robbery

CAD CODE: Robbery, InProg

Description: This is used when we get a report of a rape not in-progress

Priority: 1

Dispatch Protocol: Officer Pet or Jim (if on duty), 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above), 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 1 or above), Advise Hotel Security and our Duty Officer. Upon arrival ask if “they want the air.”

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, if not physical and if trained to do so, attempt to diffuse OTHERWISE observe and report. Assist Law Enforcement/Hotel Security within individual level of training. Complete necessary reports. DO NOT PUT YOUR SELF OR OTHERS AT RISK!

Recommended Report: Incident Report Form (in most cases).

Just Occurred Robbery

CAD CODE: Robbery, Just

Description: This is used when we get a report of a rape not in-progress (less then 30 minutes old)

Priority: 2

Dispatch Protocol: Officer Pet or Jim (if on duty), 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above), 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 1 or above), Advise Hotel Security and our Duty Officer, after arrival get basic description of Subject and Broadcast on Security Main.

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, get description of subject and make reasonable attempt to locate, if located do not approach just observe and report!. Assist Law Enforcement/Hotel Security within individual level of training. Complete necessary reports. DO NOT PUT YOUR SELF OR OTHERS AT RISK!

Recommended Report: Incident Report (in most cases)

Robbery Report

CAD CODE: Robbery, Report

Description: This is any reported robbery that is older then 30 minutes.

Priority: 4

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above)

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, get information from Reporting Party, and complete necessary report(s).

Recommended Reports: Incident Report (in most cases)

See the person

CAD CODE: See Person

Description: This is used when someone wants to see a member of our department for any reason not covered under another call type, common examples are; Hotel asks to talk to our Duty Officer, NWC Executive asks to see our Manager, Kyle’s mom shows up with food and wants to give it to him.

Priority: 4

Dispatch Protocol: When available dispatch unit, if time sensitive and available ask Duty Officer if it should hold.

Response Report: Varies depending on type of request and person requesting

Recommended Reports: None

Shots Fired

CAD CODE: Shots Fired

Description: This is used anytime that there is a report of shots fired in or around the hotel.

Priority: 1

Dispatch Protocol: Officer Pet and Jim (if on duty, if not then 2 Patrol Supervisor [PTRL 4 or above]), upon arrival ask if “they want the air.”

Description: This is used anytime that we get a report of a Suicide Attempt that does not require medical attention.

Dispatch Protocol: Officer Pete and/or Jim (if not, 1 Patrol Supervisor [PTRL 4 or above]), 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above), Advise Hotel Security, and ask Duty Officer if he wants a Police/EMS Response.

Response Protocol: Upon arrival attempt to defuse if trained to do so, keep crowd/by standers back, differ to Hotel/Police whenever possible.

Description: This is used when we get a report of a suspicious activity or person

Priority: 2 or 3 (based on report)

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above)

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, if person found contact if considered to be safe and you are trained to do so, call for backup if found.

Traffic Accident

CAD CODE: Traffic Accident

Description: We use this for any vehicle or traffic accident.

Priority: 1 (with injuries), 3 (non-injury)

Dispatch Protocol: IF with injuries; same as ‘medical’; if non-injury 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above) for non-injury. In BOTH cases, advise Hotel Security.

Response Protocol: Respond to scene, defer to Hotel when possible, treat injuries without your Standard of Care.

Trespass Violations

CAD CODE: Trespass

Description: We use this whenever there is a report of someone that has been trespassed being on the grounds.

Priority: 3

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above), with 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 1 or above).

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, check area for subject, if found request Hotel Security, defer to Hotel whenever possible, do not contact unless trained to do so.

Vandalism

CAD CODE: Vandalism

Description: This is any kind of intentional damage to personal property.

Priority: 3 (in-progress) or 4 (report of…).

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above), IF in-progress add 1 Patrol Volunteer (PTRL 3 or above).

Response Protocol: Upon arrival, check area. IF subjects located, contact subject ONLY IF you are trained to do so, gather information, complete report

Recommended Report: Incident Report, with supporting pictures (in most cases).

Weapon Calls

CAD CODE: Weapon

Description: This is used for any type of weapon call that does not fall under any other Call Type, examples if these would be a with a weapon that is not Peacebonded, restricted weapon areas (bar or restaurant) or item (firearm, rocket launcher, etc.) the are restricted, such as the Bars. There is also brandishing of the weapon.

Priority: 2 (restricted area or item; also brandishing) or 3 (non-peasebonded items).

Dispatch Protocol: 1 Patrol Staff (PTRL 2 or above), if priority 2 add 1 Patrol Lead (PTRL 3 or above)

Response Protocol: Attempt to locate person, take further action within level of training. DO NOT PUT YOUR SELF OR OTHERS AT RISK!
