The Ambassador Shift Supervisor is a floating title that is assigned to the supervisor that is responsible for all Ambassadors, regardless of role or assignment that are on-duty at the time. Is the primary point of contact for Norwescon management.

The Safety Ambassador Supervisor are responsible for mentoring and building up the rest of the Safety Ambassador Team. They are commonly the Incident Commander for Simple Incident Responses with 3 to 8 Safety Team involved. When Assigned they may conduct follow-up on incident reports when necessary. They are self-motivated inviduals with a proven customer service track record. They must have a strong understanding of Norwescon's polices and culture. Being not only self-limiting within his/her skill set and knowledge but must also be proactive in limiting those around them within their skillset/safety as well.

Safety Ambassador (Staff)

The Safety Ambassador's are the backbone of our Safety Department. The roam Convention and Hotel spaces to provide customer server and safety awareness to our guests and membership. They also respond to a wide range of calls for services related to convention membership and space. Our Safety Ambassador Staff are make of inviduals who display Norwescon's core values, have a working knowledge of Norwescon's and Department Policies and Procedures, are self-limiting within he/her skill set and have enough related expense in a combination customer services, as well as, Security type roles. The staff role commonly has at least one year experience with Norwescon Security.

The Safety Ambassador's are the backbone of our Safety Department. They roam Convention and Hotel spaces to provide customer server and safety awareness to our guests and membership. They also respond to a wide range of calls for services related to convention membership and space. Our Safety Ambassador Volunteers are made up of people who display Norwescon's core values and are self-limiting within he/her skill set. This role is for peole that are newer to the department and are still in the orientation process and should not respond to any priority 3 or above calls for service alone.

Our Safety Support Staff and Volunteers are team members who have not started the orientation process to become a Safety Ambassador and/or are underage for that role. They preform a number of support roles: such as, office staff/volunteers, Radio/Discord Operators, Peace boning Table, Covid Safety Table, Tech support and so-on. the only difference between staff and volunteers in this role is 'staff' are qualified to preform their role without supervision.

The Radio/Discord Supervisor(s) role is to mentor and training our Radio and Discord Operator team. This person(s) would try to check in with every shift to make sure they are good, provide backup coverage during emergencies and promote our Norwescon core Values and Mission statement. Promotes our training mentorship moto of 'watch one, do one and teach one"

The Radio Operator (formally Security Dispatcher) is the right hand of both our Safety Manager On-Duty (MOD) and our Safety Ambassador Shift Supervisor. The Radio Operator will dispatch resources, track real-time incident response and receive calls for service that come in via the Hotel Radio, the Con Radios and/or the phone. They will manage our workflows and track our field units via our CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) System.

The Discord Operator is primarily responsible for requests for service that come in via Discord, email and text messaging. This position my be on-site and/or victual. Also, if on site this position would be responsible for answer the phone in the Radio/Discord Office.

Convention Services Director

Serves as Convention Services ‘second’ (Deputy Director) over assigned areas (typically, Operations & Safety, i.e. Safety & Office) and any other, as assigned by Convention Services Director (Executive). Acts in the Convention Services Director’s stead in matters concerning assigned portfolio; may engage in inter-team/departmental liaison to coordinate activities relating to core duties that impact/involve other departments/teams/activities. Responsible for hiring the Safety Manager and ensuring Safety/Office Team is adequately resourced. Provides second-level oversight of and guidance to Safety & Office operations. Serves as a member of the Convention Services leadership team in collaboration with other members, as designated by the Convention Services Director. Materially participates in deliberations and decision-making around Convention Services activities. During the Convention, may serve (as needed) as a rotating ‘Manager of the Day’ for Safety/Office operations; maintains continual liaison with Convention Services Director and any other departments/teams/activities as may impact core duties. May participate in setup and takedown activities at the start and end of Convention, respectively.

Special Advisor & Lead Advocate

Specials Advisor

Prerequisites: Served as either Convention Services Director and/or Dpty. Convention Services Director (2nd) at large

The Special Advisor is a former Convention Services Director and/or Dpty. Convention Services Director (must have overseen/been responsible for the entire department). Acts in the Convention Services Director’s stead in the adbsense of a Deputy Convention Services Director and is delegated, may engage in inter-team/departmental liaison to coordinate activities that impact/involve other departments/teams/activities. Acts as the 4th tier backup for all departments Directors and Managers. Serves as a member of the Convention Services leadership team in collaboration with other members, as designated by the Convention Services Director. Materially participates in deliberations and decision-making around Convention Services activities. During the Convention, may serve (as needed) as a rotating ‘Manager of the Day’ for Safety/Office operations; maintains continual liaison with Convention Services Director and any other departments/teams/activities as may impact core duties. May participate in setup and takedown activities at the start and end of Convention, respectively.

Lead Advocate

Endorsement Requirements (old): PTRL 5, APPU 4 and IC 4 or above

The Lead Advocate is responsible for managing the follow-up on any reports of harassments, decimation, fraud and/or any HR investigation related to the convention. The primary goal of this position is to allow our Executive Team to remain a neutral during the process to enable them to be a fair and balanced decision makers. The Lead Advocate is authorized, on a limited bases, speak on behave of the Executive Team and Convention about the process and its outcomes. Is responsible for maintaining for maintaining a semi-transparent process while protecting the confidentially of the involved parties. Acts as key advisor on the process and presidents to the Executive Team and involved convention leadership. Works closely to ensure that all parties feel respected, listen to and taken seriously throw-out the process.
